HONOR Robot Phone
HONOR · Official device · Rich Black Communications
A new species of smartphone. The HONOR Robot Phone lands in Kampala.
A four-degree-of-freedom titanium gimbal lives inside the body. The camera pans, tilts, rolls and spins on its own — so the phone holds the shot while you move, tracks the subject while you talk, and looks up at you when you speak to it.
Axis 01 — the mechanism
From impossible to possible.
Everyone else bolts a gimbal onto a phone. HONOR shrank one until it fitted inside.
The HONOR Super Steel Flip Motor delivers 120 N·m/L of torque density from a titanium rotor weighing 2.6 g — around 65% smaller than mainstream gimbal motors, with 200% more structural strength. That is what makes four real degrees of freedom possible in a body you still put in your pocket.
Pan, tilt, roll and spin — driven, not simulated in software.
Industry’s smallest micro motor, 65% size reduction.
Robot-grade embodied motion control, millisecond response.
Titanium unibody with R3 curved-edge transition.
Every major leap has come from the evolution of both light capture and intelligent processing. Hardware sets the foundation, while algorithms deliver the leap.James Li · CEO, HONOR
Axis 02 — the eye
From moments to stories.
Two 200MP sensors, one of them riding the gimbal, tuned with ARRI — the people who build the cameras feature films are shot on.
The future is not simply about more pixels. It is about control. It is about empowering creators to capture beautiful images.David Bermbach · CPO, ARRI
200MP Agile Gimbal Camera
1/1.28-inch sensor at f/1.6, mounted on the gimbal itself. Three-axis stabilisation keeps every frame rock steady while you walk, ride a boda or shoot from a moving car.
200MP Periscope
1/1.4-inch sensor with 2.7× optical zoom — long reach that stays clean, backed by the same stabilisation logic.
ARRI CINEMA mode
10-bit ARRI LogC3 recording with up to 14 stops of dynamic range, ARRI Wide Gamut 3 and ARRI Looks. Grade it the way a film is graded.
AI Spinshot & Object Tracking
90° and 180° cinematic rotations executed by the gimbal, plus millisecond AI subject tracking that keeps a face centred without a camera operator.
50MP Ultra-Wide
122° field of view for interiors, group shots and the whole shopfront in one frame.
AI noise reduction
Video signal-to-noise ratio improved by 8 dB — cleaner low-light footage straight out of the phone.
Axis 03 — the behaviour
From dream to reality.
Put a robot inside a phone and it stops being a screen you hold. It looks, listens, turns toward you — and answers with movement.
MagicOS runs YOYO Robot Mode: multimodal perception, gesture recognition, voice source localisation and YOYO Auto Execution, so the device knows where you are in the room and what you asked for.
All-angle AI video calling
Set it down and keep cooking, working or walking around. The gimbal re-frames you instead of you re-framing the phone.
Emotional body language
It nods, shakes its head, and yes — it does a backflip. Movement becomes part of how the device replies to you.
Dance to the beat
Music playing, gimbal synced. The camera head moves in rhythm with whatever is on.
Voice source localisation
Speak from across the room and it turns to find you before it answers.
